ICDAM 2025 Welcome Reception

Join us for a relaxed and informal launch of ICDAM 2025 in the Convention Level Foyer of the Hilton! Take a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. Early-Career Researchers including Trainees
Monday, April 28th | 5.30pm – 7.00pm | Varley Room, Hilton Toronto
Perspectives and Conversations: Join us for a panel session where mentors from various backgrounds, career stages, and countries will offer perspectives on research career paths, followed by time for conversation. This event is open to trainees and early-career researchers who are within 10 years of their terminal degree and/or first independent appointment. Registration is not required for the panel.
Networking and Noshing: The panel session will be followed by an informal networking event at The Pint, located downtown beside the CN Tower (13 minute walk or 5-minute taxi from the Hilton). Food will be provided.

Mid-Career Researchers
Monday, April 28th | 5.30pm – 6.15pm | Toronto 1, Hilton Toronto
The Mid-Career Pivot: Insights and Reflections: Mid-career researchers may have reached milestones such as tenure, while next steps and goals can be numerous and/or obscured by many other responsibilities. Join us for a panel with our ICDAM 2025 keynote speakers, who will share their perspectives on the mid-career stage and lessons learned from their own experiences, followed by a Q&A session. Moderated by Rebecca Leech. Registration is not required for the panel.
Networking and Noshing: To continue the conversation with other mid-career researchers, register to join an informal dinner at Local Public Eatery Adelaide (3-minute walk from the Hilton). Seats are limited. Participants will be able to order from the Local’s usual menu (which includes gluten free, vegetarian, and plant forward options) and will receive an individual bill.
We won’t be checking ID at the door, but mid-career researchers may be considered as those who are around 10-15 years from their terminal degree and/or first independent appointment.
